This page summarizes some useful information for General Assembly attendees – don't forget:

  • Bring your own water bottle to help saving tons of plastic bottles, EGU provides water fountains in all poster halls. Please bring your own water bottle to refill as often as you like. Please note that the tap water in Vienna is of very high quality. EGU-branded multi-use water bottles can be acquired at the EGU booth in Hall X2.
  • Coffee breaks and networking slot: the morning and afternoon coffee breaks serve complimentary coffee and tea on all levels inside the congress centre as well as in the poster halls. The new networking time block from 18:00–19:00 serves beer and non-alcoholic beverages in the exhibition areas (entrance hall and gallery) as well as in the poster halls.
  • Mobile app: the EGU General Assembly 2019 app for iPhones and Android smartphones is available at: https://app.egu2019.eu. The advantage of the mobile app is that it runs offline. For pure online access to the programme, the General Assembly website and all programme views are mobile-optimized.
  • Personal programme: please make use of the option to generate your own personal programme (online or through the mobile app) to be stored and printed as PDF. Your personal programme will be synchronized between online version and mobile app.
  • Programme book: fostering a greener General Assembly, we will no longer print 15,000 programme books but the PDF file of this book is available for download. We encourage using the online programme and mobile app to compile your own personal information material since these include all sessions, events, and floor plans.
  • Division meetings: all EGU General Assembly 2019 attendees are invited to attend, particularly early career scientists. Please find the division meetings at: https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2019/sessionprogramme/FAM#DM
  • Meet EGU: meet your division president, early career representative, executive editor or committee chair in the meet EGU spot near the EGU booth. Their schedule is at: https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2019/sessionprogramme/FAM#EGU
  • Union-wide sessions and events: check out the variety of sessions and events for broader interest like Union symposia, great debates, science and society sessions, science-art-public events, and stand-alone lectures.
  • OSPP judging: when browsing through the poster and PICO programme, abstracts taking part in the OSPP contest and lacking the minimum number of OSPP judges provide the opportunity for you to volunteer as judge in order to ensure an appropriate amount of evaluations. For sessions you plan to attend, please consider serving as judge, if applicable.
  • Artists-in-residence: visit our artists-in-residence Morgane Merlin and Giorgo Skretis in Foyer D (Brown Level -2 - basement).
